Studio study / CAD Drafting

One redline, two coordinated dimensions

The brief: Widen the storage bay by one foot without moving the outside walls. The architect needs to see the impact on the adjacent workroom before issuing the plan.
Production decision: Redraw the partition and door together. Check both dimension strings against the unchanged 18-foot overall dimension.
Review handoff: An annotated plan excerpt with the revised bay and workroom widths. Door hardware is outside this revision.

Studio study / Scan to BIM

A gap in the scan is not a doorway

The brief: Build an existing-conditions base for a renovation. Three walls are visible; one stretch of the fourth wall has no usable scan coverage.
Production decision: Trace the supported wall runs. Flag the gap instead of inserting a door or completing the wall from an assumption.
Review handoff: A plan excerpt and a field query: verify wall continuity at the flagged location before designing against it.

Studio study / 3D Visualization

One reception desk, two finish directions

The brief: The designer has settled the desk geometry. The client needs to choose between vertical oak slats and green stone without reopening the layout.
Production decision: Keep the viewpoint, countertop and floor fixed. Change only the front and return so the comparison answers one question.
Review handoff: Two schematic finish views for a design review. Final color, sheen and slab selection still need physical samples.
